Greetings!
I have a friend who needs a program for recording his music from cassette and vinyl disks to MP3. However he's kinda "noobish" and doesn't want to follow a simple manual I wrote for him using Goldwave, and wants everything to be done automatic. I've seen a few programs that can split sound files according to the silences/pauses in it (useful for stuff like this) but they only use WAV and he uses MP3 (I tried convincing him to use WAV or OGG but he doesn't wants to -_-') So... my question is... Anybody knows a program for recording directly to MP3 (even if it's using the LAME Encoder) AND split it automatically, or at least a program that can record in MP3 and another one that can split that MP3 in a bunch of other MP3s? I know there are, I just don't know where to start searching, or if anybody knows something better. (There's a program named Audio Cleaning Lab, or something like that... but it's way too expensive... something that doesn't cost too much, or even better, freeware, would come really handy!). Edit: Oh, he's also using Windows 98... I know, crappy old (MusicMath Jukebox screamed at me when I tried to install it xD!) so it must be compatible too ... I can't obligate nor convice him to change PC, so stuff like "omg ch4ng3 tat crappty&%!$"&%!" old %!&!& pc!!1111111" aren't useful -_-', thanks ¬_¬.Thanks in advance ![]() Edit 2: YAY I found a good one! PolderbitS Sound Recorder & Editor - it's small, easy to use, does the job easily and as it's expected. Isn't very cheap, the price comparison is about 3 US$ less... but hey, it's easier to use and simpler - does an awesome job too so it's money well spent when the trial finishes out.Last edited by DARKGuy; 09-24-2006 at 12:01 PM.
