Hey everyone,
So, I just got a 250GB Rocstor external and I'm trying to transfer my music from my PC to my Mac. When I plug it into the Mac, it mounts fine and I can access the drive. When I plug it into my PC, the drive shows up in my device manager, as well as my "safely remove hardware" systray window. It DOES NOT, however, show up in MyComputer or anywhere that I can access, open or use the drive. This seems like it should be a lot easier to figure out than it is, but I'm stumped. Any ideas? - L |

OK, so I ran disk management and gave the drive a letter. It showed up in My Computer but it said the parameter was incorrect. then that I had to format the drive. So it's formatting now and hopefully it'll work. My question is, am I going to have to reformat this drive every time I want to hook it up to my PC? Also, now that I've changed these settings (the letter and having formatted the drive.), will I still be able to use it with my Mac?
Thanks, I'm new at this.. |
