What about this configurator?

I don't know if you looking for intel or AMD, but these configurators look pretty good.

There is a really cheap setup, you should be able to play games like half life 2 and counter stike on that but you'll have to run the settings on the lower end, also that CPU overclocks really well with the stock cooler, if you look at my signature you can see that i would know. If you give me a budget i can customize something better for you but i really don't know what you're looking for. More infomation would be very hepful.

also if youre looking for a prebuilt bare bones system you could try tigerdirect.com they have some really cheap bare bone systems. Be careful though they ususally are built around an old socket or they are missing something essential.

Here's what I came up with.

Sempron 2800+ and DFI Motherboard Combo

http://www.newegg.com/product/Produc...82E16813136167
Ampo 512MB DDR400
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820161625
3D Fusion GeForce 6600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143068
Coolmax Case

Here ya go, $194.96. That's as cheap as it's going to get.
