Default mac aim 4.7

My friend just got a mac laptop and she's installing AIm 4.7 onto it.

As being a computer noob, she has no idea how to make a profile, make the window blink when someone talks to her, use webcam and stuff. And I, being a mac noob, have no idea how to help her.

Can anyone here with a mac give me a rough guide on how to do these things? Thanks!
