Default dx10

any idea when direct x 10 comes out? Also, can someone please explain me what exactly direct x does? can i just download (like a driver) it or does is it part of the video card. Is it really worth all the hype?

I would say early to mid 2007. For more info on DirectX take a look at the Wikipedia article on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DirectX

DirectX is hardware and software based. Your video card would have to support DX10 in order to fully use it (which it doesnt).

when dx10 comes out you will need a 1500 watt quality psu, a new case, new ram, new o/s, new mouse, new keyboard, and a new optical drive thats compliant with the new dx10 card.

Nope. The only things that you would need for a fully DX10 compliant machine is Vista, DX10 compatible video card, and DX10 itself.

you will have to type all differnt too coz the new keyboard will have all the keys rearranged.
