Slideshow screensaver

I would like to use the "my pictures" screensaver that comes with XP, but I find the transitions horrible and cheap looking. Is there a free program I can use do create the following type of screensaver?

1. use images in a specific folder and in a randomly, so that the screensaver doesn't follow the same chronological order every time.
2. use a cross-fading transition

Thanks for any input.

EDITED: I just saw that Picasa2 will do just what I want. I wish the "Google" logo wouldn't pop up every few seconds though. Anyone have any ideas of a freeware that will do the same Picasa2 does, but without advertisement?

@dragon2309: Thanks for the google info. I have already tried googling it, but I still wanted to know if there was something that someone has used and would recommend. Thanks anyway, I'll keep looking at google results for now.
