You may have seen one of my post before, but I'm getting ready to build a new computer, and after much revising and research, I've got what I consider my final system. Please let me know what you think and if you see any compatibility issues. Some of my reasoning for my selections follow:
Sunbeam 550-watt PSU / Modular: case comes with a crappy PSU XFX Nvidia 7600 GT: gonna buy this budget card because when DirectX10 and Vista drop I'm gonna buy a premium card, but this should hold me over untill then Model Price GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 Socket T $146.99 Intel Core 2 Duo Conroe E6600 2.4GHz $319.99 Apevia (ASPIRE) X-DISCOVERY-BK/420-Watt PSU $79.99 Sunbeam 550-watt PSU / Modular $79.99 XFX Nvidia 7600 GT $146.99 Sound Blaster Audigy 2/ already got $0.00 CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 DDR2 800 $296.00 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM $79.99 SAMSUNG 18X DVD±R DVD Burner With 12X DVD-RAM $30.99 SAMSUNG 18X DVD±R DVD Burner With 12X DVD-RAM $30.99 SAMSUNG Black 1.44MB 3.5" Internal Floppy Drive $5.99 Microsoft Widows XP Pro Edition 32-bit/ already got $0.00 Rosewill Socket 775 CPU Fan w/ Blue LED $29.99 60mm Hard Drive Fan $6.99 120mm Blue LED Case Fan $6.99 80mm Blue LED Case Fan $5.99 80mm Blue LED Case Fan $5.99 CPU Thermal Compound $5.99 Shipping $38.00 Total $1,286.85 Monitor $300.00 Grand Total $1,586.85 And by the way, the monitor is a Samsung 215 21" wide screen. Thank you, Marine_Bryan

Looks good, although that HSF wouldn't be my first choice. Moreover, there are better value video cards. The XFX model doesn't really offer anything to justify the extra cost. The eVGA version is better value.
