I'm currently looking for a replacement for my aging non-wireless linksys router.
I wish to buy a wireless router so that I can easily get wireless access around my house for my portables such as the Playstation Portable. (Yes, I know there is wireless adapters for the PSP but it is very limited.) Another reason is that my computer may be moved into a room in the corner of the house. Basically, I'm looking for a very high quality router (budget is not a problem). Max I saw for a router was $200. I prefer a router out of this list: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/sub...EN&catid=19994 Main features I wish to have is of course, great performance and good distance (at least around the house and around the outside of the house). I also wish for it to divide the connection fairly evenly. With my current router, if im downloading on one computer, you are unable to browse the web or do anything on another computer since the first computer is hogging all the bandwidth. I looked at the linksys Wireless-N router as it seems to have some very great features. However, I'm not sure if it works with the PSP and the adapters are quite expensive and only PCI one i saw at futureshop was a D-Link adapter. Will it connect to the linksys router just fine? This router also seems to share connections very well without loss of performance. According to the description anyway. Do any of you recommend any other routers, had any experiences etc? Opinions very much appreciated!

Any brand will connect to any other brand, if that's what your asking about the PSP. The onyl thing you need to worry about is the standard. Check and be sure it's compatable with 802.11b/g. I suspect the PSP uses "B" but either B/G are compatable with each other.
Personally, I'd go with a Linksys. They're one of the more popular brands and seem to have high quality products. I assume you're old one has been a good one? ![]() I don't know much about "N" yet. Personally, I see no reason to go beyond B for the most part, particually if you just plan to use the internet. If you do plan to do a good bit of file transfers, go with a G or N. However, nothing beats a solid wired connection.

Linksys and D-Link are my favorite brands and they also have the best quality products. I got my D-Link router for $5 after a rebate and it works awesome!
