Default What happened to my normal shut down menu?

I want the normal shut down screen. The one that is default on Windows where you can press one of the three buttons for Shut down, restart and suspend. How do I get it back? This is what I got now:

And why did it change to this one anyway?

Did you recently install SP2. That has been known to see some changes at times One registry fix is found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893056/en-us

Besides using a system restore point to go back a few days before the change was seen you can look over a few registry tweaks and fixes at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

You must mean the "change the way users log on or off" setting in the user's account. That did it here fast enough.

No I did not just upgrade to SP2. I have always had it. I did however unclick the box that says "use the welcome screen" under the section that says "change the way users log on or off" in the user's accounts section. I did that so Windows would automatically log into my account.

With an edit of the system registry you can have Windows boot direct to the desktop did you know that? By having the welcome screen option checked as well as the fast user option the shutdown menu will be seen at the default three choices.

CP > User Accounts > Change the way users log on or off > uncheck "use the welcome screen"

You won't see that with the registry edit that was found in one registry guide a few years ago. By default you should the administrator and user name prompt. With one registry edit that will disappear with the desktop being the only thing see when Windows finishes loading.
