Default Componet compatiblity #2

I posted somthing like this but I have talked to some people and done more reaserch and found that alot of the parts I was using were not too good or there were better deals ect. Anyway I am building a computer for the first time. I wanted to know if some of you could please take a few minutes and look through all this and tell me if it is al 100% compaitble with each other and if there is ANYTING else I need (cables, drivers ect.) to build a computer, all I have is a windows XP disk, a cd bruner and a Cd drive. I would really aperiate it if a few of you could help me out here as I would really hate to get all this stuff and have somthing not fit or turn it on and have "ERROR" stamped across the screen. Here are all the stuff I want.

CASE- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...factory=BROWSE will 350 watts be enough?

FLOPPY DRIVE- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...factory=BROWSE

HARD DRIVE- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...factory=BROWSE you guys were right, a 10k rpm drive is a waste.

MEMORY- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...factory=BROWSE

MOTHER BOARD- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...factory=BROWSE

PROCESSOR- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...factory=BROWSE

VIDEO CARD- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...factory=BROWSE

That is about all I can afford so please try not to recomend somthing more expensive unless it is really nessesary. If you guys are not sure about all this does anyone know if someone I could email that could tell me for sure.

Thank you to all the pleople on here that helped me put this list of stuff together.

-Colin

Odds are you'll have the error. When you make core changes youll need to redo the installation

If its from a reliable maker you should be fine ... im guessing thats a noname PSU so prolly not but its up to you

Avoid the nForce3-150... that was discontinued by nVidia for being a seriously crappy and limited chipset. A k8T800 will outperfrom it for roughly the same price if not cheaper

Thanks alot for the help, i really aperiate it. So your saying this is a better mother board, http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...131-490&depa=1 Could you recomend a good brand to look for on a power supply, I think maby I should just get a plain case and get a good PSU separate? Should I got with 400 watts or 450?

Also what did you mean about core changes and how I will get an error when I try to put it togethe?

Sorry for all these questions, Its just i am really new to all this but am dertermained to build a computer vs buying a $700 dell.

No. I said the k8T800 is a better chipset and normally id say that motherboard is also better but the ASUS Socket754 boards are a bit "wierd" so id stay away from them

Fortron, Vantec, Antec, Enermax, PC POwer and Cooling, Ultra, Thermaltake

Definitely

Not a world of difference.

Core change = new CPU, new motherboard etc

The NF3-250 is a better platform (and in this case, cheaper), http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...130-457&depa=1

I am having trouble finding a decent case and power supply. My buget is 70 bucks total for a case/power supply.

I found this case by Rosewill which seemed good and had 400 watts, http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...147-011&depa=1

If that is not good could someone please recomend a good case and power supply that is no more than $70 total. I want to order it all from newegg.com since they have good prices and too save shipping.

Thanks,
Colin

The fans depends on your taste for noise vs cooling A bunch of "stock" 80mm fans usually is sufficient though
