Default My latest upgrades!

I decided to bite the bullet and finally build a nice gaming rig, but I just wanted to add a few upgrades.

I upgraded from a:
Sempron 2500+ to a Core 2 Duo E6300
Socket 754 micro-ATX to a LGA775 ATX
768MB DDR400 to 1GB DDR400
60GB IDE to a 160GB SATAII

The total cost to upgrade this was $285. The reason I bought the ASRock motherboard was so I could use my existing DDR RAM, and my current AGP video card. When the quad-cores and DX10 come out, I will upgrade the motherboard, RAM, and video card. The x850XT PE is still a very strong card, so I decided to keep it. My parts should be here in a few days.

Very nice! Looks like a solid setup. Are you planning to sell any of the old stuff?

How is the DDR400 going to work with the Core 2? just a question.

On this one board it's designed to work. There are a couple reviews on it.

Talk about a bottleneck though, that doesnt really make any sense.

Ddd2 is not particularly a huge gain from ddr. It is not going to bottleneck his system.
