I am thinking of buying this laptop soon. I would like it for word processing and a bit of gaming... mostly AoE 3...
HP Pav dv9000t XP Home Intel Core Duo 2 T5600 1.83 GHz 256MB nVidia Geforce Go 7600 1 Gig DDR2 100 GB HD Wireless LAN 17" Widescreen, 1440x900 (is this good??) Some other goodies... all for $1348.98 good? bad? need upgrade? thx

Over all it seems pretty good, but I've not kept up with current prices... Plus you didn't post the RAM speed. Probably wouldn't make a huge difference, but it would be nice to know.
The screen resolution isn't the greatest... I mean it's a good widescreen resolution, but unless you plan to watch a ton of movies or play lots of games that can actually use widescreen, things usally get thrown off. Some people don't mind it, I guess it's more of a personal preference.

laptops are good for remote processings if your out of town. for gaming nothing can beat a good desktop pc and its a lot fun to upgrade and fix a desktop pc.
all new laptops sold these days are preety much ok.. you should check its website for forums and ask for people who bought them |

sweet.... im gonna upgrade to 2 gigs of ram too....
another question is: the graphics card is gefore go 7600, 256 mb. i can upgrade to 512 for $100.... should i if i want to play aoe 3 at full settings?
