Also, does anyone know any decent video editing programs that won't break the bank? This is for editing home videos from a digital8 by Sony. Thanks in advance. Macs are really good for vid editing....but if you're going the way of windows, video card, ram, and cpu are really important.

We figured that, I just wondered if there were any special considerations to be made for video editing, such as video card features etc. So, would you say that any pc with decent specs is suitable for video editing?
