What is of better quality USB or the two jacks? What is the difference btw.

I would go with a USB head set, and the qukity should by about the same.
the main difference is that a head set is good for online gameing and inernet phone services. and that a mic\headphones are good for music.

If you have a soundcard, use the jacks. If you have integrated sound, it wont matter if you use USB or not.
And why not have best of both. I got myself a DECENT pair of headphones and a mic. I took the base off the mic, used some putty stuff (blu-tack) to attach mic to headphones. I now have a DECENT headset. I can take a pic if you want.
