it makes the noise when its like your speakers are up really loud, and there is nothing playing at the moment, but it makes that noise all the time. it is really annoying. makes it seem like i have a crappy sound system, that i just got.

Is it coming out of the speakers or the sub? Mine makes a little noise when it is up pretty high, and I found it to be the port is too small, and air rushes in and out too fast. Do you have all of the speakers connected to the subwoofer? If the air escapes out of the rca plugs is makes a noise.
