My brother wants a new phone and he can't get if from the alltel service cause it will be pretty expensive. He wants a razor and you can get them for like 189. How can he use the razor he buys of the internet? Sim card what is that? I looked I don't think he has one. Help please. Thanks.

Yep, it is unlocked. About the sim card he doesn't have one on his old phone. So will alltel take care of that when he takes the razor to them?

if he doesnt has a sim-card yet,.. i think its better to look for a Razr + sim card,.. the razr will be locked then,.. you could only use the sim card that came with it, in it... but its a lot cheaper usually

It's not a memory card lol... It looks like a small credit card with the gold chip on one side. SIM Cards are what tell your phone which network to connect to, which tariff to use, what your mobile phone number is, etc...

In England, SIM Cards are a necessity. You can't use a phone without one (well, you can, but you won't connect to a service provider).

no he mentioned sim card

thing is if i recall alltel correctly then they dont use a normal sim card as such, its there way of locking their phones to the network and overall is a bit crap

first thing to do is contact the provider and see if they will transfer details over to a sim card of some kind that they can send out to you, no point in buying the new phone if he cant pick up his service provider on it

Ya, well he just did. Got one without a sim card. Hopefully Alltel will help him out with that. Thanks for info guys.

if they can then they will send out a sim card with his details on it and then its simply a case of popping it in the phone and away you go
