Default Need Advice on best gaming card to buy

hi, im looking to buy a new graphic card
computer specs are
athlon x2 4200+ 2.2ghz, 2 1gig pc3200 ram, i dont know the mobo, and i got
300gb 7200rpm hardrive. I dont really know all that much about computers, and i m looking for the most expensive graphics card money can buy, my budget on the cards limitless. Im just looking for the best graphic card right now for Games, nothing else. Currently i got a radeon s80 9200se which really sucks. And i only have 1 pci-e slot. I'm kind of thikning between the BFG geforce 7950 GX2 1gb, or the saphire radeon x1950 xtx 512mb. Since these r like 700$ish cards, i wanna make sure i get the better one obviously. And ive been looking at alot of benchmarks for all latest cards and some r better than others on some benchmarks, and then the others better than the other on others, im so confuzed =\ . And please mention any other cards that i might wanna buy. thanks.

7900GTX vs. X1900XTX (PixelPipes???)

On a side note, I don't know where you shop but I wouldnt pay $700 for any of todays top cards, way overpriced. 500 or 550 is what you shuld pay for a top card at the most IMO.

Outch, well you must have a powerful PSU in order to run the top cards. So be prepared to replace that.

7950GX2 is faster than X1950xtx, but with X1950xtx you can run AA + HDR, and you will get better image quality.

It depends on which you want.

If you want to run games above 1600x1200, I recommend to get 7950GX2

Yeah do that, But your going to need a power supply too, so don't try to get that and no powersupply because that will most likley end badly

I thought that the nVidia GeForce 8800GTX and the Ultra version were the best?
