I use to have the SE and I switched to this in my current rig and it sounds amazing. Basically the good sound with 7.1 support without all the extra crap as the more expensive models.

I honestly think the X-Fi line is deffinetly worth it. I used to have one and it made my z-5300's sound much better, especially in surround sound games/movies.

But the biggest improvement over my Audigy 2ZS was the advanced CMSS-3D feature, which basically can make any pair of headphones/headsets sound like 7.1 surround sound (even the cheap $20 ones).

Lightbulb Sound

I recently started looking at sound cards and I'm intrigued by the Blue Gear card. It has 2 digital ports on it as well as 7.1 sound. I've read so far on newegg much fewer issues. Just a thought. Here it is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829127002

If you want the best quality sound, look to Turtle Beach. If you want the best gaming experience, look to the X-Fi.
