Default Know of a freeware Low Level format utility?

I need a new one. My old one is rather...old. Some old Seagate program that if I remember right, had some limitation with the drive size. Also, you had to enter all the information(heads, sectors, etc etc) I don't mind doing this, but something that can auto detect this would be better for people who might not be able to find it so easy.

I know I could google for it, but I figure maybe someone has expereice with some program and they know it's good. I don't feel like testing a bunch of programs out
