Default Adding A 2nd Hard Drive

I have an 80GB hard drive currently on my computer. I bought a 250GB Western Digital hard drive from ebay, just the hard drive, no cables, CDs, manuals or anything.

First off, sorry for sounding like an idiot, but could someone tell me how to find out if the connectors on my motherboard are SATA150 or 300. The new hard drive is an SATA300. If the connectors are 150, can I use the hard drive? and if I can, which cables should I use, SATA150 or 300?
