Hello. My girlfriend is wanting to get a new laptop to do her graphic and web design stuff on. She wants all the adobe stuff as well as macromedia. She is currently looking at the new macbook but the mac guy told her that adobe CS2 runs poorly on the new intel based macs because it has to run on some sort of emulator thing. They also told her that CS3 coming out soon(ish) will work fine on the new macs. She however, is impatient and wants a new computer NOW. I'm telling her to consider a PC because they are more bang for the buck. What kind of laptop would you recomend for her kind of operations around the price range of $2000. Lots of ram, 1gig or more. Decent processor around 2gHz. Video card is not an issue as she does little to no gaming and no video editing. Basically she wants it at least as good as the macbook. If you can get that kind of performance for cheaper than 2k then sweet but $2k is pretty much the maximum. And to make it more difficult, she doesn't want a huge laptop like alienware or anything. Something around 15".
