Just be careful how you throw them. boom... thud... bang..... crunch!.... who did this?

Gee... Core 2, Core 2, yaa... yaa.. yaa! Sorry I beat everyone else to the punchline on what cpu to buy. Here we have a different fan club for AMD!

Have any specific or favored items in mind for the new build. You will obviously want to decide on the type of cooling methods especially if you have OCing in mind.

You wont need to OC much, but you can... and you can get a good Zalman or something, an E6400, and go through the roof.

Whose law is that? You want a "cheap" cpu?

If you plan on OCing you will definitely want to look over a few higher end cpu coolers like those put out by Artic Cooling and Zalman. The Zalman CNS9500 has done a great job with the AMD model here and should work as well as the Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. For a look at the Zalman model, http://www.coolerguys.com/840556025061.html

The Freezer 7 Pro can be seen at http://www.coolerguys.com/840556021407.html

A good case, I couldn't say enough good things about my case. It cost 120.00 though with no PSU. Thats another thing, don't skimp on the PSU. Good power and good airflow are key to a good performace computer. I don't mean gigantic and I don't mean 1000 watts, I mean reliable, quality componets.

A lot of people like to make recommendations but until you look for yourself you are really just taking peoples advice from the internet, granted I do as well and it is helpful. But you need to undertsand your decisions to make the best purchases for your own needs.

Good luck, have fun, and keep us updated.
