Do you like BETA's? If not, no.
Office 2007 menu's has been changed and it takes a while to get used to due to the whole new desiign. Other than that, haven't had any problems at all. HOwever, I downgraded back to 2003 since the menu's were just too complicated to find certain features you would use most.

office 2000 is better than those new versions and it runs smoothly on slow PCs, only the menus are changed and some new tools you would not use in school or offices.

I prefer 2003 to any other version.

I tried 2007 several months ago, and I really didn't like the new design and new file format. I don't think it's work the $1.60

I've got it installed but havent used it much.... as Computerhakk says the menus are a bit confusing but mainly cos i'm so used to the 2000 & 2003 and havent spent enought time yet with 2007.

BTW, there is an "on-line" / "browser based" free trial of Office 2007 on microsoft's website.... you can try it here

Same thing, it's design and layout haven't changed, so it's the same; just new features and exploits patched.

There is a big write up about it in the latest PC Authority magazine... It has a all newly designed tas area at the top called the "ribbon". It looks good but as for quality I don't know.

plus the new file format is no bacwards complatible with prior versions....that will be a big selling block. They need to roll out a convertor from the 03 versions.

It is a complete mess. All the backwards compatibility is there (unless you save under the new format), but the interface is a complete writeoff... I went back to Office XP Pro.
