It looks like a mobo that i want to get does not have enough fan connectors to accommodate for the amount of fans on a case that i will be getting.
I will certainly need another power source for these fans... Do PSUs typically have those little power connectors for fans like the ones found on motherboards?

Look on one of the rails for the third molex connector there. On some boards there is an extra molex socket for auxillary power at the rear of the board to one side of the pci and PCI-E slot(s) or AGP slot. If those are the larger 120mm fans they will need the 12v feed.
