Instead of paying $1xx for windows xp or somethin, can I just purchase a stock boot disk from a new machine and use that o any pc??

The boot disk lets you boot ... and maybe recover .. thats about it The full thing lets you install

you can get windows Xp home OEM for around $85.00 these days maby less.
I only pay $97.00 for windows Xp pro OEM with SP2.
