The one easy way to find out if that has happened is to go to the update and review the history there. That will give the time and dates. Generally you will see a gold colored emblem or some other indication when an update is going on and even a prompt stating the need to restart in order to complete the installation. That kind of rules that out a little since that would have been the far more obvious reason.

Hmm... I left my computer on overnight and it restarted. Event Log doesnt show anything.

I just disassembled my computer just to check if anything was wrong. Only problem i saw was the usb ground etc etc. Thats about it.

I think I know whats causing my computer to restart. It is probabily Daemon tools, but I may be wrong. My computer restarted about 3 times today when I was messing around with it.

You could try using the msconfig utiliity to disable it from loading along with Windows. After typing msconfig at the Run prompt and pressing the enter key you would go to the last tab for the startup group to disable any listings there and in the services tab next to that. When in the services section don't forget to put a check in the box for hiding all Microsoft services. That will avoid disabling the wrong thing.

Is the Daemon tools still causing problems??

I need to mount an iso, so ive been looking for software. (Deciding between Daemon and Alcohol)

Ive been reading the daemon tools forum http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/index.php and it seems like it is a bad piece of software.

nah daemon tools wasnt the problem, its something else that is restarting my computer.

I'm starting to think it is my mobo or my psu, but i dunno which. I don't have an extra psu or mobo to spare...so i dunno how to test which is the problem.

Anyway of finding out?
