why reinstal windows? :x Just a question.. you say he can connect external speakers, and that works, right? is it a build in soundcard, or is it a PCM-CIA soundcard he connects the external speakerst too?
because if he connects it to the (earphones) power of the build in soundcards,.. you KNOW the soundcard is ok,.. wich would most likely leave the conclussion the connector of the internal speakers could be loose inside. if its a PCM-CIA or USB soundcard, it could mean that the onboard card isnt installed, or is disabled in the BIOS. ( just what I can make up from it.. )

yes Archangel, he can connect external speakers using the hole that the headset does. Both works except the external speakers need to plug in usb port as well. I think it should be a build in card cos no external hardware but we do not know what is a PCM-CIA soundcard. It was a working notebook until not long ago, that no sound out from the notebook speakers. pls advice and thanks.
