Usb keyboard and mouse problem?

I have a usb keyboard and mouse and people are telling me that they wont work some times. I haven't had a problem, but why would people think there would be a problem. Does one exist?

Just wondering.

Well the simple answer is to ask the people who claim there is a problem to elaborate or show you.

That's easy enough. It really depends when and where. If Windows is running then the default usb 2.0 support is active. But if you are working on a drive without an OS and are then going to install Windows you will soon find a need for the standard PS2 connection in order to press the F8 key when asked if you agree to the license terms. It's always a good idea to have even a little cheapo keyboard hanging if a PS2 type has need. Wireless keyboard can even be more fun.
