Hi wasnt sure exactly which thread to put this in as it covers a range of topics....
Basically i would like to use the optimal bios settings at the moment i have the current config.. CPU Properties: CPU Type AMD Seprom 2800+ CPU Alias Thoroughbred-B CPUID CPU Name AMD Sempron(tm) 2800+ CPU Speed: CPU Clock 1999.55 MHz Motherboard Name ASRock K7S41GX Memory Module Properties: Memory Type DDR SDRAM Memory Speed PC3200 (200 MHz) Module Width 64 bit Memory Timings: @ 200 MHz 2.5-3-3-8 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) Memory Slots: DRAM Slot #1 256 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM) DRAM Slot #2 256 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM) AGP Controller: AGP Status Enabled AGP Device nVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT AGP AGP Aperture Size 128 MB Supported AGP Speeds 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x Fast-Write Not Supported Side Band Addressing Supported, Disabled Video Adapter Properties: Device Description NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT Adapter String GeForce 6600 GT BIOS String Version 5.43.02.66.52 Chip Type GeForce 6600 GT DAC Type Integrated RAMDAC Installed Drivers nv4_disp (6.14.10.8198 - nVIDIA ForceWare 81.98) Memory Size 128 MB If you need any other system details please let me know. Now my bios settings allows me to change the following.... CPU Host Frequency - By Jumper or Manual (current Jumper 166Mhz) DRAM Freq - 133mhz, 166mhz, 200mhz (current set at 200mhz) Flexibility option - Disabled / Enabled Spread Spectrum - Auto / Disabled AGP Aperture Size 16/32/64/128/256 (current 128) Dram Latency - 2T, 2.5T, 3T. (current 2T) Over Vcore Voltage - Disabled, 3%, 6% PCI Latency Timer - 32/64/96/128/160/192/224/248 (current 32) AGP Fast write - Disabled / Enabled (current disabled) What would be the ideal settings for best performance. And also is there anyway to overclocl the system / graphics card? Any help would be appreicated thanks in advance. |

It doesn't look like anything that you can change would affect system perfomance positively.
WHat I mean is, disabling or changing them most likely wouldn't do much.

That board will run a maximum of 2gb of ram. You can also go with a newer 256mb model video card with additional pixel pipelines. For an NVidia model card the EVGA 7800GS 256mb card would be a chunk of cash however. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130274
