Default P2P program

Limewire has started to get a little lousy lately for some reason, so we are looking for a new P2P program. It has to be good for music, especially older music. And yes, before the inevitable comments pop up, it is completely legal to download music in Canada. I can provide you with the exact ruling if need be.

I really appreciate your help (and please, please, PLEASE don't break the rules so the thread gets locked before I get the help I need. Thanks ).

Shareaza, uses all protocols other P2P programs use, so that means you can download from a person that has a different client.

Go to their forums and read about tweaking it up.

I guess i cant prove that you're uploading... i hope for your sake you get your answer quick, as other mods may not be as agreeable when alerted

I love Canada.

I'm going to look into that Shareaza.

However, contrary to popular opinion, file sharing in Canada is not completely legal. Important distinctions have been made regarding the legality of downloading versus uploading copyrighted material. Copyright decisions in Canada have seemed to make it legal only to download copyrighted material for personal use. Uploading or distributing copyrighted material is not allowed according to recent copyright decisions.

Hmmm. Do they quote a source? I couldn't find any decision more recent on Google..

Anyways, she doesn't share anything but a couple of photos of the cats. Heh. If someone wants those, they are welcome to them.

If you had read the article, you would know the source for that statement.

Oh. I don't know what to believe now then. Oh well. She doesn't share anything besides those couple of pictures anyways, so it's all good.
