Question I just dont get it...

i have a 160ext hdd/ first time that i plugged it in, all i had to do was format it and it was fine. and at this moment in time my computer wasnt on the internet. i had just got it. and so for the past few months my computre has been online and offline a bit and the hdd worked.

and for some reason i didnt use it for about 1 month and my computer is now offline and when i plug it in. it asks for drivers! i dont understand why. it wasnt a problem before. it doesnt make sense. any ideas anyone?

maybe an auto update was pushed to the OS at some point. ...idk...go to manufacture website and search for updated list of drivers for your OS.

Uninstall the drivers you have installed with the device disc.....reconnect the device so windows can try and reinstall the device drivers

The discs that i have dont have drivers as im told that they dont need them. and i also cant find them on the internet also. i may reinstall some of the old original drivers and take my computer offline for good.
