Default How will i know my motherboard's socket # and bus speed?

ok so heres the thing so i wanna upgrade my crappy ass computer but i just can't seem to find out what the socket for my motherboard and processor is and i dont know the bus speed for my motherboard my current processor is amd duron 893 Mhz. the reason for the bus is that i've read somewhere that if u want to increase ur ram u should have the same bus speed for ur motherboard and ram stick or watever u call it. oh one more thing how will i know what kind of ram my motherboard supports by that i mean is it SDRAM DDRAM DDR2???

thx

And to be honest it'd be cheaper to build from the ground up. SD-RAM is more expensive then DDR400 these days.
