I have a seagate laptop drive (40gigs and nowhere near full) in usb caddy which will not let me copy a large number of files onto it. the light just turns red and it stops copying and I get a message saying it has been unplugged or something. In comparison My dads Hitatchi travelstar will do the copy the same files in the same caddy without a single problem! I just get it, how come his hard drive can survive this and mine just curls up dies?
