hi everyone if i got a speaker system with a subwoofer what one would be better bass a subwoofer with 150watts or 20 watts i know the powers different but what would have better bass sound

The quality of the subwoofer is important. ..But if the quality was equal, a 150watt subwoofer will outperform a 20 watt sub every time.


more importantly than the power (watts), check the frequency range of the subwoofer.

The wider the range, the better. A great and very large sub will be able to produce from 20 Hz - 120 Hz... but most subs freq range from 35 Hz or 40Hz to 120 Hz


(hmm.. did you mean 200 instead of 20? If so, there is not that much power difference.. so I would go with the sub that has better customer reviews and frequency range.)

SFR basically covered it... also all things else equal, more power will allow a sub to play louder and more forcefully at lower volumes. That way you don't need to crank your volume to get the impact of an expolsion bowling you over in a game or what not. When it comes to computer speakers, you're almost always better off going with more power.
