LCD monitor shows blank screen

Hi, I have a 19" Metro LCD monitor which constantly shows a black screen when i after my computer finish starting up. The problem only occured in the recent months. When it happened i tried unplugging the power supply and replugging it, which fixed the problem. But my concern is, that this black out is occuring in more frequent intervals now. So can anyone suggest any problems that are related to this? I bought the monitor for onli 2yrs.

Check that your connections between the monitor and computer are secure, and both sides dont have any broken or missing pins. You might also try using that monitor on another computer.

I'm sure that the connections are secure and the problem is that the black out does not occur all the time so its hard to test it out on another computer. I'm wondering if there are any problem related to the brand of the LCD or if it has anything to do with the power supply since the problem is fixed by unplugging the power.
