Question about a motherboard

If you are seeing a stable image onscreen you could also be looking at a bios problem. A bad flash of the bios eprom would see a system hang at post. If you just bought the board contacting the vendor for an rma would be one thing to consider if a manual update fails to see any results. A corrputed bios programming or a bad EProm would see this type of problem. If there was nothing seen at all the card would be the chief suspect on many boards. But that still doesn't rule out a bad card since 1 long and 2 short or 1 long and 3 short point at the video card on boards with the Award bios.
