Question cd rom

can accidently leaving the cd rom left open all night cause damage to it?

Nob, I'm surely it will be automatic closed when you closed it. If your problem happen, it will cause damaged on your lens cd. I think, he2.

Depends. It could be a laptop.

Other than that, your concern would be the lense. Wether it would get scratched accidently, dusts settling on it, debris getting inside, etc. Besides that, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it if it was untoched that night.
