WinXP - difference between a "photo album" and a "picture" folder??
Right-clicking a folder, then properties, then customize tab, allows you to change the type of folder it is - for example: a documents folder, or a music folder etc...
Two of the options are "Picture folder - best for many files" and "Photo album folder - best for fewer files".
Is the only difference here, that a picture folder displays thumbnails by default and a photo album displays the filmstrip view by default? Or is there another difference?
Also, do these display settings get taken into consideration when I access that folder, for example from a "browse / search for file - window" in my email program when looking for what file to attach in an email? I mean, I know the filmstrip wouldn't apply in this case, but the problem is that when I want to attach a photo in an email using that method, I always have to change the view to thumbnails in the "search for file - window" so that I know what picture it is that I want to attach. No big deal for just a couple of photos, but I often put several pictures from different folders into a single email and it gets annoying having to change the viewing option to "thumbnail" when browsing for each file.
