Arrow Radeon X1950 Pro - best bang for the buck?

Heya guys,

I have pre-ordered an X1950 Pro from Sapphire. I cannot find a link on Newegg nor Tigerdirect, but what do you guys think of it?

Well...I managed to find a link to it on newegg. It should be the same one...

Not many user reviews but it looks like a decent budget card.

You probably already know, it is the equal of the X1900GT. Seems like a good buy, now that the X1900XTs are a little more expensive.

Well it certainlly stomps my 7600GT in shader operations(20700/6720) and vertex operations(1150/700) Otherwise, they are rather close. As maroon1 mentioned, the 7900 series does seem to be slightly better, but I'm just looking at specs. I've not searched for any true benchmarks...

The x1950PRO is almost identical spec wise to the x1900GT, but since there the same price, I would go with the x1950PRO because it does have a higher memory clock, as well as having ATI's new crossfire feature.

Default Heya

I have not checked back .. almost forgot. Well now it's official. I ordered myself an X1950 Pro from ASUS. I will plan to OC a bit (especially the memory) and get it to 600/1500. Of course I will start using it as a Folding babe as well. This will be the second ever ATI GFX card that I ever owned. The first I had was an ATI Rage 2000. It was a very decent card.. at the time. Then came my Nvidia phase and here I am with ATI again. Thanks for all the input guys.

and...

Hell yeah! Do you really think I got it for gaming? LOL. Just kidding. It will have more than one use and that's why I found it as a great candidate for an update. It will be a nice upgrade from my old 6600GT.
