Hi, I bought my computer a few+alot+a little more years back and well I have question about this box thingy that I have. its rectangular and its connected to my speakers and the box is connected to my computer so I'm guessing it has something to do with my sound. But the question I wanted to ask is if its bad to be next to other electronics. You see when I place the box next to my television (cable) the screen sorta goes green, like a black and white television except its green, part of the screen atleast. Well I moved the box away and the television was fine. The thing is the box is now right under my printer (epson stylus cx5800f) about 2 feet apart and lately my printer hasn't been working, it turns on fine but it doesnt print or other problems arrise like messages start poping up in my screen telling me a non-high speed usb port connected to a high speed watchamajig, it didnt happen the first few months I used the printer. I called tech support and told me that there may be a problem with its power unit, but before I ship it off back to epson I thought I might ask someone knowledgable if it might be the sound box thingy thats causing problem with my printer. I could just move the box away from my printer but that would mean I have to reorgainize my whole computer, moving things, untangleing wires and finding a place to put it and all. If the box is eminating some sort of eletric thingamajig then is there a way to stop it like place a tin foil hat on it? or place some sort of mat that'll help stop it from effecting other eletronics, any information that'll be helpful would be appricated, especially if you can let me know where I can buy the stuff at
.

Sounds like a subwoofer. They are suppose to be sheilded, so I don't know why it'd mess up your TV and all. I have a monitor sitting on top of my 10" sub without a problem.
Why not just remove all your speakers(that "box" and the other smaller speakers) and see if that clears things up. You can buy decent sets of speakers for cheap. Maybe you could find one with a sub that's actually sheilded.

thanks for the reply's
was great help. I think ill go ahead and buy a pair of new speakers, if anyone just happens to come upon one let me know? I just need a pair to hear the sounds that come out of my computer so not looking for anything big, 20 - 40 or 50 Usd, and simplistic looking like ipod design, nothing fancy or something that looks like it should be sticking out of the trunk of a car that jumps up and down, low rider is it? hehe if you can post up the address it'd be appreciated ![]()
