Default Is this worth $398?

This is probably like my tenth thread I made on the subject, but do you think this is worth it? It goes on sale November 5th.

It depends what you wil use it for. Writing papers, surfing internet.. sounds like a great deal. It might sell out quickly..

I would use it mainly for internet, chat, school work, playing HD videos to my TV, ect. Perhaps CS1.6 here and there.

I know they would sell out quickly, so I was planning on just hanging out at wall mart until midnight on November 5th, then just picking it up and going to the register

Hmm..., well you can take this as you will but I wouldn't buy the thing. The reason why it's cheaper than most other places is because it's made cheaper than other Compaqs sold at other retailers. My general policy: don't buy any electronics from Wal-Mart. Myself any others have been burned too many times by them for electronics.

My own personal viewpoint, so take it as you will... But, this model they only sell at Wal-Mart (notice the WM at the end of the model number). Models sold at Best Buy should have a BB, Circuit City a CC, Office Depot a OD, Office Max and OM and so on... Just a word of caution...

Oh wow I never realized that. Are you sure it's actually made cheaper, and not just renamed so it doesn't apply to other stores "lowest price guarantee?"

I have bought electronics from walmart. What was different about it to make it cheaper, it never worked right, and it did not have all the features the one from Sprint had.. It was a cell phone.
