Default Windows 2003 Changing Private Key

Hey all.

I have a odd problem - I'm trying to obtain an SSL certficate for my webserver (IIS 6.0). I generate the CRT, back up the private key, and then push the CRT to the issuing company (Thawte). When I receive and attempt to install my cert from thwate through the IIS wizzard, I receive an error message saying the private key does not match. I then attempt to install the key manually through MMC and still receive the same error. Their tech support is baffled why my private key is changing on its own - I've shut off IIS and the only thing running is a mail server without SSL. Any ideas?? Thanks!
