My computer was up and running fine until I tried to connect my new BT wireless broadband. I was having trouble connecting so I rang BT technical help, The technician on the phone told me to change alot of settings i had no idea about but changed as I thought this person knew what they were doing. I dont really know what I have changed but i know I had to disable something. The internet still didnt work so the chap on the phone told me to move my pc downstairs closer to the new BT hub. But then when i moved it downstairs thats when all the trouble started.
My computer is starting up, and it gets to the windows loading screen, but it goes so far and the monitor shuts off just as it does when you switch the tower off BUT the tower does not turn off....The only way I can access my computer is by going onto safe mode. I was going to try and use system restore but it has been disabled and I cannot enable it in safe mode. I am at my wits end and i do not know what to do. I thought i would post on here before paying loads of money for an engineer to come and have a look.

dont worry! repair you windows with the windows installation cd. goto boot and repair it. then the windows should work finely. but i have no ideal about the "BT"!!!!
