Default Crackling And Card No Detected.

Hey guys,

I have had a couple issues regarding crackling of my speaker system, and this problem i have had with multiple computers is, say after a few hours or so all of a sudden there is no audio, go to control panel and says no audio devices connected i have my onboard audio disabled and such, has anyone else had this problem, as i said this has happen of quite a few computers, if anyone has a solution please let me know.

I take it you are referring to the card in your sig, the 2 ZS? It sounds very much like a dying card, or a very VERY shoddy PSU not supplying the correct voltages to the PCI bus.

If you buy say a £5 cheap sound card off ebay and use that does it do the sme thing, can you test a different card to eliminate that factor?

Worst case scenario is that your motherboard has a big problem and needs to be replaced

Well it happens with onboard as well, on multiple computers, ie desktops and notebooks, the only thing they have in common is Windows XP Pro. Clients of mine have had problems as well with the same issues.
