Default laptop toshiba tecra 8000 speed processor?

hi everyone!!
im having trouble decidine which speed processor is right for my laptop

i have a toshiba tecra 8000; with pentium 2, 128mb of ram and 299 mhz procoser.

i like to upgrade my mhz processor only.
can someone please tell me which speed processor is right for this old laptop . please!!!. thank you

You said it, sounds like a 300MHz PII. And what do you mean by upgrade? if you want to upgrade, then you need a new computer badly, no question.

he wants 2 put a faster cpu in it, and he dont know what kind...

im sorry if you misunderstood me.

i meant to say that, is there a speed processor that i can install on this toshiba tecra 8000.

if there isn't. can someone please tell me how can i install windows 2000 pro on this laptop thank.

your help is much appreciated.!!

No, there is no processor you can install (safely and knowledgeably) to increase the speed. The best and easiest thing you can do is buy a new laptop for ~500$ and it will be faster than anything you've ever seen (judging by your current laptop).
