Exclamation ?? Windows file protection ??

i was using the disk clean up today and in the middle of the clean up i got this message

"Windows File Protection"

Files that are required for windows to run properly have been replaced by unreconized versions. To maintain system stability, windows must restore the original versions of these files.

Insert your now



i dont know why it says "insert your ____now" but i have nothing to insert lol. what the hell is going on!! HELP ME.

sounds like it was trying to delete some system essential files, if everything still runs ok no worries. it probably didn't delete anything

What "disk cleanup" are you refering to? Desktop cleanup for removing inactive icons off of the desktop or some 3rd party drive cleaner like CCleaner that will remove almost any file at times. You probably saw the prompt for the Windows installation disk in order for the system file checker to verify the system files that may have been removed. The prompts there are seen as: "insert your Windows disk now". You will need an installation disk in order for the sfc and WFP to copy and reinstall certain needed files back onto the drive.

ive gotten that beforejust insert your windows xp disk and hit ok
this somethimes happens when you install new themes or vista look-alike packs
