Default Computer randomly shutsdown

I have been having a very frustrating problem with my new computer. The computer is an AMD Athlon64 Dual Core 4200+ 2GB of RAM, GeForce 7900GTX. It is brand new, only received it last week. From day one, it has been randomly shuting down. Even on the first day I had it, before any programs had been installed, it was shutting down. There is no pattern to it, it is completely random. It even happens when I'm not touching it. I have turned it on, not touched anything and it will shut down. At other times, it will run for hours no problems. After about 5 attempts, I finally was able to complete an installation of MS Flight Sim 2004, and I can usually get that running for about 1 minute and the computer will shut down. Very annoying especially considering I am able to run it fine on my 3 year old computer. Any ideas, or have I bought a lemon? I suppose someone has to get the computer that was made on a Friday afternoon!

Cheers

Mark

Check for viruses. I had a very nasty trojan that did this.

Numptie = don't know much about computers. A bit of Aussie slang for ya! ;-)
