Hey guys, I've never had a Windows laptop and now i am thinking about buying one... I'm not looking for nething SUPER powerful, I just want to be able to surf the internet wirelessly (too go on CF, of course ). My price range is max like 650USD. I know my friend got his HP for like 450 after rebates...so ne suggestions?

Also Im looking for 1 with a gig o mem and >1GHZ proc. I like 15" or bigger, and size/weight dosent matter that much...AND it NEEDS to have an OS (aka XP, even tho i hate it ) i dont need a big hd, no bigger then 80gigs if it costs more, and The Video (preferably) would be good if it was like 64MB or 128 if it's not much more...

----ALMOST FORGOT BUT VERY IMPORTAND---- It REALLY needs to include a wireless card or have it built in. I have 1.5 DSL, and I dont want 56K speeds either I also have a Belkin (Model# F5D7230-4) wireless router... THX ALL!!!!

check out acers travelmate, very very good computers...i am partial to dell, their new lappys are nice and for that price u can get a core duo..prolly only 512 meg of ram tho...

That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Really. Get 512MBs or even 256MBs. My P3 laptop has 256MBs and it isn't too slow. Try not to get a Celeron M, they are incredibly slow, even compared to the P3 I use.
