Desktop design?

I have recently seen a few desktops that have had like customizedtaskbars and stuff. How do I do such a thing?

You need to point out specific screenshots.

As you've not specified what you use I'll assume it's Windows. You need to remember that not everyone else uses Windows so some of those screenshots may be of other operating systems.

It'll help answer most of your questions at the moment unless you are looking for specific looks such as a MAC OS look; and so forth.
