Default PCI Express x1

What are these slots used for? Ive got a couple of em on my Mobo, but never really found a use for em. What kinda crap can you ram into em??

There are a few sound controllers, ethernet cards, and some CAD video cards, that use PCI-E x1.

Look around on newegg. You can find some cards there. Along with what monkeysims mentioned, I've also seen some SATA/RAID cards...well, it's not like it's limted to certain cards. If it's out for PCI, there's probably one out for PCI-Express 1x as well

There are a few add on cards for it, but not too many as of now.
